Bushwick
Neighborhood pride! I live in Bushwick and always wanted an excuse to draw something with my neighborhood name. I also love Neil Young’s Harvest album, especially the type, and thought that the look of that type was perfect for the word (and probably perfect for the hipster populous slowly taking over the hood). If you wikipedia Bushwick, you find out all kinds of fun facts. The meaning of the original Dutch name from the 1600′s is “little town in the woods” and it used to actually encompass all of what is now Williamsburg and Greenpoint Brooklyn too.

Love the type on Neil Young’s album so much I have it framed in my office. What an awesome tribute to Bushwick and Mr Young. Cool that Bushwick is in NY and his initials are NY. Accidental amazingness or purposeful fucking awesomeness? I vote the latter. Here is an img of the album cover http://i42.tinypic.com/2aj5e08.jpg – Great work, Jessica!
Brilliant, this made my day.
I want one for Downtown Brooklyn!
