Tonight in Toronto, Peter Enneson will be giving a talk about Henk Krijger’s Raffia Initialen from 1952 (see typeclub.com for details). I worked with him to digitize this set of caps from the summer of 2008 through the winter of 2009. I will be talking about my experience with these letters alongside Peter tonight. If you’re in Toronto, try to attend the talk. This is very interesting stuff.

Northern Type Skills
For our second installment of “Guest Post’r” we cordially asked Patrick Griffin of Canada Type to take the keys for a week long test drive on FoT. He’ll be stopping by every morning to deliver us new, old and some cutting room floor type goodness.
…If you don’t know his work by now, you should. He co-founded Canada Type in 2004 together with Rebecca Alaccari. The two have been designing typefaces that many of us have either held or seen in various mediums. Their collective type work spans a large breadth of styles only a few type designers are capable of creating.
Please join us back at 10:30 for his kick off post.
Until then, do yourself a favor check out our little interview with Patrick and get to know the work of Canada Type.
