I haven’t had the opportunity to travel the midwest until recently in which I’ve met many remarkable creative folk. Back in March, I had the pleasure of speaking at School of Advertising Art in Kettering, Ohio. During my short visit I saw impressive student work and felt a sense of pride for them and their town. I too attended college in a small city that many people had never heard of. Post graduation I was applying for jobs alongside designers from Art Center, RISD and MICA. Being the underdog educated from a state school had given me a greater sense of pride for my college and town. This shirt is dedicated to all the eager students, proud alumni and enthusiastic teachers I met at SAA. Be proud of where you’re from.
