Deep Cuts: High school homecoming invite
I recently came across a random selection of illustrations and lettering from high school and thought it’d be amusing to share.
Deep cuts entry number 1: My school had a contest in which students could submit an idea for the freshman homecoming invite. The theme of the dance was ‘Under the Big Top’. I was apart of the .009% of people who had never heard of the expression. The post you see above is what I submitted. A very, very literal interpretation of ‘Under the Big Top’ and as expected it did not make the cut.

Pirate Talk
I contributed an illustration in the March 2012 issue of Wired magazine for the ‘decode’ section. Thanks to art director Bradley Hughes @ Wired for making this one happen.
