The Ricker UK
Digitized & Set by The Friends
This week we have the pleasure of having all the way from London, the super talented designer & typographer Rick Banks aka Face37 guest posting here on Friends of Type. For those who know his work then you’re probably a fan just like us…. for those who are now being introduced to him, you’re in for an inspiring treat. It’s all in the details….

Bonus: Check out an interview he did over the summer with FoT favorite FormFiftyFive.

Ramen & Rain
Digitized & Drawn by Jason Wong
It’s getting to that time of year where my perfect meal for every meal is a bowl of ramen noodles. It’s especially better with a pitcher of Sapporo and rain outside. A little known fact is that the 4 of us at Friends of Type have consumed enough ramen noodles to travel to Saturn and back again 18 times.
Design Physics
I’m really looking forward to speaking with the ComD Agency student group at Pratt tomorrow. I’ll be sharing some anecdotes about entering the field and my view of the state of graphic design culture. I think it’s going to be a fun discussion and I expect I’ll learn a thing or two from the new generation.
