Here is a brief peak at the development of this post.

1. To help with the line weight I used a thick nib felt pen and quickly drew out the foundation of the letters.

2. Took out the tracing paper and began to refine the letterforms.

3. Scanned the tracing paper. Imported the image into illustrator and began tracing the forms with the pen tool and adjusted contrasting forms accordingly.

    Love the type, but the process photos are lovely and helpful. I’ve always wondered about how people did these things. I could never figure it out.
