braquage
This post goes out to our friend Vince, a true braqueur. He was also kind enough to translate some text to reveal the true meaning of a ‘Braquage’:
“A “hold-up man” is a person who threatens others with handguns in order to make an offence, generally with dangerous material like explosives or extortion of money. They are often card-indexed with organized crime because their attempts are daring, bold, aiming at very protected buildings or vehicles. They are often hooded, wear gloves, which make tracking them extremely difficult.”
