grey gardens
This is another idea that was rejected from a client. I got love for it and wanted to share.
I included a couple steps.
1. I set Gotham on my monitor and used it as reference and drew vine/branch characteristics into it.
2. On a separate sheet I added additional vines, leaves and flowers.
3. Scanned both drawings multiplied the layers in PSD and sealed the deal in illustrator. The final graphite version was the best.
Absolutely love getting a peek at a designer’s hand-drawn type process: http://friendsoftype.com/2010/01/grey-gardens/
