On Rob Alexander’s last post he did a shout out to his grandpa this inspired me to make one for my dad. He recently retired after 35 years as a brick layer and since my days apprenticing under him are long gone this is the closest I can get to objectively being a mason. As you can see in the drawing I am not the best bricklayer I think i’ll stick to this lettering gig. Thanks Dominik.

Awesome iso-type. The brick texturing feels a little wonky on the tops of the letters? Dope textures. Love it.
This is fantastic! Great textures.
I can see why you’re not a brick layer. Those top bricks don’t fit the structure. As a typographer? Top notch.
I like the misaligned bricks, it reminds me of the cardboard brick toys. Anyway, the brickwork would be gonzo to actually build with these curves.
Great sketch, makes me rethink my next posts.
Is this how your relatives spell your name, Erik?
