Rest In Pieces
I originally had this idea while brainstorming my piece for the On Language column in The New York Times Magazine. I liked the idea but unfortunately the length of the word and the scale it was going to be printed cause me to kill it. Today I repurposed it as a type experiment and a question: I know print is definitely not dead in all cases, but is the physical printed dictionary dead?

Really nice idea, Ed! I’d say, maybe sadly, that I won’t ever be buying a new dictionary. I will, however, keep and use the big-old ‘family dictionary’.
