I think that showing the process like this is important. Many people assume that great designs just kind of happen or are the result of a single Ah-Ha! moment in which everything magically falls into place. This is reinforced by the notion that the process is something to be hidden away and embarrassed about.
Instead, I think we should be proud of this kind of process. It shows how much thought and effort went into the final piece. It’s important, especially for students, to realize where great designs begin.
