Dad Rock
The day you were born your dad built a rocket. Loaded with all his favorite records and powered with spare parts from his Chevy Nova, he aimed the rocket at your Saturn, lit the fuse, and watched it disappear into the night sky while blasting some Supertramp. The party was over and it was time for him to get down to some serious dadding. Now, a couple of decades later, your Saturn is returning, colonized with your dad’s record collection and a healthy population of good vibes. It’s been a long, exhausting journey and your Saturn is ready to throw back a couple of domestic cans and just CHILL OUT. Hey bud, let’s party. – Dan

The synchronicity of this post ridiculous. I’m 28 on July 3. Saturn is back with a vengeance. I have just begun playing my dad’s rare ’92 Starburst Elite Gibson acoustic/electric and listening to more Elvis Costello. Then? I see this post. FoT. PLEASE say I can buy this print!!!!
So like, can I?! :)
Not quite sure why I just found this – not only do I love the graphic, the caption made me smile like I haven’t in a while. October 18th, 2012 marks 5 years since the day of my dad’s passing – the night he passed I went out for a walk in the middle of the night, lay down in the middle of a field under the stars and listened to Supertramp’s Even In The Quietest Moment on repeat ’til I feel asleep.
