Lettering As Composition Workshop
It’s been awhile since I taught a workshop. During that break, I figured out what unique offering I could teach that’d be different from many other in-person/online workshops now available. This 2 day intensive workshop was taught at Type@Cooper West in San Francisco. The class was full of eager talented letterform heads that delivered. Here’s a sampling of their work.

I got to have beers and draw with Erik for the first time in forever. He took pity on me and tried his Lettering as Composition workshop out on me. You can join the waitlist for the Type@Cooper West edition, it’s going to be great.
Chasing The Sun
We had the amazing opportunity to create a ‘One Night Only’ poster for A24’s release of the Oasis documentary Supersonic. All of us in FOT have been Oasis fans for years…. we wanted it to feel like an imaginary gig (or circus when you watch the film) with all the information being taken from different events, coming together for this ‘One Night Only’ gig. The lettering is inspired partly by ’60s psychedelic posters and the doodles we’d make of our favorite bands when we were in high school.
